Protestors Rally Against Thursday Bombing

Security in Karachi tightened following an attack at the Pakistan Bible Society’s Christian Reading Library, next to the Trinity Church, on Thursday. Although the first attack – a hand grenade thrown from a passing vehicle – injured no one, the second attack – a planted car bomb, hospitalized 15 people. On Friday, Jan 16, 2004, protestors gathered at a rally in Lahore, Pakistan to condemn the attacks. The bombings was the first attack on Christians since August 2002.
