Quantum Break is now available for pre-orders

Remedy Entertainment's Quantum Break is an amazing crossover of a role-playing game and a traditional television show. Now, the developer has announced that the game will be available on April 5 for Xbox One and PC. By pre-ordering the digital version of Quantum Break for the Xbox One, gamers will receive a free, full copy of the PC game as well.

Here's the latest update about Quantum Break release date, contents and system requirements for Xbox and PC platforms.

Game developer Remedy, the studio behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, is looking to change the tech market by releasing a game that includes a live-action TV series. Not only that, the developer announced that the game would be available on the Xbox One and PC to reach wider number of players.

Even if PC gamers won't be able to compete with Xbox One gamers (and vice versa), they can save games that work across both platforms, making it easy to play a game.

For Phil Spencer, head of the Microsoft's Xbox division, he hopes that this cross-platform feature will become a signature aspect for the Xbox One console. "We [Microsoft] think it's good for gamers," Spencer posted in Twitter.

Quantum Break casts gamers as Jack Joyce, an action hero with the ability to control time. The game centers about Joyce's adventure against the nefarious MONARCH group. While it looks like a solid, temporal-twisting shooter on its own, Quantum Break wants to differentiate itself to other RPG games by featuring a live-action TV series --- starring X-Men's Iceman Shawn Ashmore as Jack Joyce.

The Guardian published the game includes four 22-minute episodes of a TV show, which appear at key stages in the game. Interestingly, these aren't simply used to further the plot, they're written to make the game exciting. Once a player made a decision, the next episodes would reflect that decision.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Remedy's creative director Sam Lake said the studio made many firsts in making the Quantum Break. Remedy Studios utilized new technology, new core gameplay, new world, new characters and new story.
