In an interview with Variety, Jones said her character is a fugitive whose street skills and knowledge into the Galactic underworld puts her on the radar of the Rebellion.

Aside from Jyn Erso, fans also wants to see Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) in action. Andor works for the Rebellion in intelligence, and he is the partner of Erso in the galactic heist mission.

Furthermore, there's a bunch of new rebel fighters such as Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen) and Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker). The former is a blind warrior who believed in the spirituality of The Force, while the latter is a leading member of the Onderon rebels.
