The project is currently running a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo that has already doubled its intended fundraising goal of $5,000, thanks in part to the recognition it has gained from people like Robertson who have been spreading the word through the #loveisproject hashtag and across all social media.

When you pledge money to the campaign at the $25 level or higher, you can get a special LOVE bracelet that was handcrafted by a Kenyan woman. "We believe in the power of community and have seen first hand how it connects and empowers our mums in Kenya," the campaign states. "The #loveisproject grew out of a simple desire to find out what love means to people around the world and how, despite our circumstance or history, love unites us all."

The campaign not only asks those who pledge to spread the word via social media, but also to take a picture of themselves wearing the LOVE bracelet. Sadie's own Instagram photo was made to show off her bracelet and support for the mission.

"To me, LOVE is something that everyone has but not everyone accepts it," Sadie said on her Instagram. "God is love and loves all, but sadly we don't always accept it. It's never to late! Love one another! It's honestly the greatest feeling in the world to love and be loved. I'm happy to join the #loveisproject & wear my bracelet the women in Kenya made to represent love."

Sadie's mother, Korie, also joined in on the campaign, showing off her own LOVE bracelet in a photo on her Instagram. "Excited to announce the #loveisproject," she said. "The fact that I can help in a small way is a little bit of what #loveis It crosses all boundaries, defies all logic, it is kind, it always hopes, always perseveres, Love never fails! Read 1 Cor 13 for more on Love."

The popular Bible passage cited by Korie explains the apostle Paul's inspired view of what love means, including the famous line in verse 13: "And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love."

The project is the brainchild of African lifestyle brand LIFE Line and The Supply Change who are partnering to raise more awareness for the poverty and struggle in Kenya. "By helping us reach our goal of $5,000 you will take part in the launch the most exciting LIFE Line product to date, create awareness so that our mums can make a sustainable income, and empower women through entrepreneurial development," the project page reads. "This goal will also allow us to buy materials, cover bracelet production, shipping, and marketing. Above all we hope to connect communities through love by growing new partnerships that will create even greater opportunities for our mums."

When you give to the project, you get certain rewards in addition to the bracelets, according to your pledge amount. These rewards include everything from holidays cards, signed versions of the bracelets, a LIFE bag, change purse, jacket, book about the project, and even a trip to visit the women who are making the bracelets at the $5,000 pledge level.

The Love Is Project's funding campaign is currently at over $13,000 and will end on January 18, 2015. Bracelets are expected to ship in time for Valentine's Day.
