It is going to be an interesting year for Samsung as they will release a follow-up to the Galaxy Note 5 with the Note 6.  Even though the Note 6 expected release date isn't until Q3 of this year, there has been a lot of rumors surrounding its improvements as well as possible new features. 

According to the International Business Times, India Edition, there is going to be some changes that Samsung will make to the Note 6 that should be welcomed by fans of the series. The camera, for example, might not receive the usual increase of Megapixels.  It is very common for Samsung (as well as other smartphone/phablet manufacturers) just to raise the Megapixels, so it is improved, but it isn't just the pixel, but the sensor quality that can improve the picture.  Samsung might alter the sensors on the Note 6 but leave the Megapixels alone.  

In fact, the Parent Herald states that Samsung could be adding a BRITECELL camera in the Galaxy Note 6, which would give it the ability to shoot pictures in low light settings.  There are also reports that Vivid Photo or Timeless Photo would be a comparable method of taking better photos like iPhone's live photos. 

Unlike the camera, the battery of the Note 6 could stand to be improved as 3,000 mAh on the Galaxy Note 5just isn't enough by today's phablet standards.  Perhaps if Samsung upped it to about 4,000 mAh, that would be something worth it.  By the way, there have been several reports saying that the Galaxy Note 6 will have a 4K display.  If that is the case, then it will need a bigger battery. 

The issue of the microSD card slot also needs to be addressed.  The Note 5 was absent of this, which is not good if the user wants more memory.  Considering that phablets are made to take on more tasks, users will need more storage.  It is a safe bet then that the microSD card feature could make a comeback. 

Another possibility is the Android version of 3D Touch. The ability to access several functions with a quick press of the screen has been doing well for Apple on the iPhone 6S, and if users want this on Android, the Note 6 would be a good place to implement it. 

Other features could work their way into the Galaxy Note 6, such as an iris scanner for some extra security.  Some have suggested that it could have that feature of the Note Edge, but perhaps on both sides.  There is also some rumors about a folding screen, and if that one were added, that could change all phablets, smartphones, and tablets as we know it. 

At this point, there is nothing but rumors about the Galaxy Note 6.  It will probably take half a year before any of them are proven a fact, as the Note 6 is predicted to appear in Q3 2016, one year after its predecessor made its appearance.
