After the launching of Galaxy S7 in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, many tech enthusiasts are now looking forward for the next edition of Galaxy Note series. Latest reports say Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 823 chipset and will be released sometime in July this year. Now, here's what is currently known about Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date, specs and rumors on the web.

Many tech websites predict the next-generation Galaxy Note will feature top-notch processor to boost its performance. Tech Times claims that Galaxy Note 6 will be powered by Snapdragon 823 SoC, which is packed with 720MHz Adreno 530 graphics engine, 64-bit class Kryo quad cores and Hexagon Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The chipset will also help to prevent lags and delays in the system.

Furthermore, Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 823 has higher clock speeds of up to 3.0 GHz, while the widely used Snapdragon 820 only produces 2.2 GHz.

For added security feature, SamMobile reports that an iris scanner might be installed on the Note 6. The website says an iris scanner appeared on a list of materials purchased by Samsung.  The South Korean phone maker is known for making outstanding new devices, such as the water resistant Galaxy S7. Therefore, the Note 6 could have the new security feature.

Speaking of water resistance, it is reported that the Note 6 may have IP68 certified water and dust proof protection. The feature will help the device to be waterproof for 30 minutes in 1.5-meter deep water.

Rumors also suggest that next the Galaxy Note smartphone will sport 5.8-inch slim RGB AMOLED screen, partnered with 2,560 x 1,440-pixel screen resolution. 

For its camera technology, Galaxy Note 6 could have the same specifications with the flagship Galaxy S7. The forthcoming device may be equipped with 12-MP rear-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture and Super Optical Image Stabilization System, which will help to capture high-quality images even in low-light environment.

International Business Times claims Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will become available sometime in July this year. With that timeline, the device could run under Google's Android N OS.

In related news, Samsung, one of the world's largest maker of smartphones, predicted a better-than-expected performance for the first half of 2016, thanks to the booming sales of its latest flagship Galaxy S7 phones.

Wall Street Journal reported Samsung's shipments increased by 10.4% from 5.98 trillion in March last year to 6.6 trillion March this year. The tech giant won approximately $5.7 billion for the first quarter of 2016.
