Just a few days before its official launch, Samsung officially unwraps the Galaxy Note 7 and the latest details on the smartphone have already leaked, including its dimensions as well as pricing details.

The highly-anticipated launch will take place on Aug. 2 when the South Korean company unveils the newest Galaxy Note 7 phablet during the Unpacked press event. Despite its efforts to keep much of the information under wraps, many customers are likely to have an idea of what the new gadget brings when it comes to features and design.

One of the most prominent features of the Galaxy Note 7 is the advanced iris scanner that is expected to enhance security for users when unlocking their phablet. It also aids in authorizing mobile payments as well as opening applications.

Such feature was recently shown on video, demonstrating its speed in terms of unlocking devices when its user stares at the screen.

In June, a third-party case manufacturer revealed the first look at the Galaxy Note 7. As seen in the image, the upcoming smartphone comes with a dual-edge curved display, similar to that of the Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, and may be incorporated with a Samsung Exynos 8893 processor or Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. It also comes with 4 GB of RAM.

According to the source, the Galaxy Note 7’s exact dimensions are 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm while its weight comes at 168 grams.

The device also comes with the new S Pen that will reportedly improve functionality; it had also undergone significant redesign for waterproof capabilities.

In a Zuaba listing, the Galaxy Note 7 is integrated with a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, similar to the cameras found on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Aside from 64 GB of internal storage, the highly anticipated phablet will come with microSD expansion slot and 3,600 mAh non-removable battery.

Moreover, Samsung is expected to include 5GB of free cloud storage together with its new upcoming service known as the Samsung Cloud.

For its software, the Galaxy Note 7 is believed to be powered by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung's TouchWiz.

At full price, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will come with a price of $950 for US customers. T-Mobile has already been reported to make the Galaxy Note 7 available through the service provider’s buy-one-get-one-free promotion when the smartphone is officially released.

It has been rumored that the device will be made available for pre-orders starting August 3 and will hit stores on August 19.

It was confirmed by 9To5Google, though, that the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in other carriers such as AT&T and Verizon.
