Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S7 smartphone in the upcoming press conference. There are rumors that the company will also present demos for its new virtual-reality gadget. In the company's released video teaser, it shows a man that wears a Gear VR and reaches out to grab a box with a glowing blue edge. After that, words "#TheNextGalaxy" appears on the screen. The clip gives a clue that the company is set to present its brand-new flagship device.

Interestingly, the previous two Galaxy Unpacked events --held in the first half of year 2014 and 2015 --was used to launch Galaxy S series smartphones.

As the anticipation for the device builds up, here are the specifications of Samsung Galaxy S7. The upcoming flagship device is bigger in terms of size than the outgoing S6. There are also revisions on the design. Its edges on front and back are more rounded that its previous version.

Depending on the buyer's regions, the Galaxy S7 will be shopped with two variants of processors: a Samsung Exynos 8890 processor, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 in the U.S. Because it has powerful internal hardware, it is good to know that Samsung installed "liquid-cooling" features on Galaxy S7 to prevent overheating.

Additionally, Tech Radar reported Galaxy S7 will have Android Marshmallow right out of the box. The new firmware from Google offers numerous innovative apps and cool features, such as Now on Tap and battery-saving Doze.

In terms of pricing, SamMobile predicted that Galaxy S7's price range could be around $780.00 for the 32GB models and $890.00 for the 64GB models.

Tech experts said it looks like Samsung has fused the practicality of the Galaxy S5 with the style and build quality of the Galaxy S6 to develop the Galaxy S7.

It is expected that the next-generation Galaxy phone will boost the sales of Samsung. A market sales report said the Q4 of 2015 "was Samsung's fastest growth rate for almost two years, and it helped Samsung to stay ahead of Apple and maintain first position."
