The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the San Francisco Giants Saturday April 5 at 1:10 p.m. PT at the Dodger Stadium as the second game continues today.

The Giants (4-1) handing the Dodgers an 8-4 loss in the season opener yesterday. Nine consecutive batters reached base with two outs in the first inning as San Francisco scored six runs, with Michael Morse and Ryan Vogelsong each contributing two-run singles. It was the Giants' highest-scoring first inning among the 448 games they have played at Dodger Stadium.

The Giants have scored 31 runs in their first five games, 23 with two outs.

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was scratched from the starting lineup for Friday's home opener after arriving late and was replaced by Matt Kemp, who had been activated from the disabled list earlier in the day.

The Dodgers (4-2) won the National League West in 2013 by 11 games -- the largest margin by any division champion since 2011. But while the Giants finished 16 games behind them, Los Angeles was just 8-11 against San Francisco, its worst mark against an NL West foe.
