"Say it loud, say it loud and clear.
Forget about, forget about last year."
What? Is that Sanctus Real music I hear? Yes it is!
And guess what? They're back in the studio now, working on a second album. Does that mean more rock-in' Christ music? That's right!
Excited? So am I! And so are many other people out there who are into Christian rock.
During the past months, Sanctus Real was named Favorite New Artist in the CCM magazine Readers Poll and led the same category as compiled by the music writers at ChristianityToday.com. The group is nominated for two 2004 Dove Awards; Rock Album (Say It Loud) and Modern Rock Song for its cover of the U2 hit, "Beautiful Day," from In the Name of Love: Artists United for Africa.
The blistering track spent four weeks at #1 on the Christian rock radio airplay chart. Sanctus Real lead singer Matt Hammitt also received a Special Event Album Dove Award nomination for his part in the !HERO musical.
See it happening? Sanctus Real music is spreading, and so is the gospel!
"Matt has been coming up with some rad lyrics lately (and) there's definitely a deeper sense of direction and soul on this record," guitarist Chris Rohman writes on the band's web site.
Amen. Living by the word of God, sharing and revealing His grace is very important. As we rock-in' Christ with Sanctus Real, let us remember this and meditate on the deep meaning of each song.
