The Seattle Seahawks will play against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, September 14, 2014, beginning at 1:05 p.m. PT. The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks and the Chargers match will go down at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The game can be watched online through live stream below (free with subscription), and on FOX Television Network.

While the Lombardi Trophy sits in the Seahawks home, the Seattle dominated the Green Bay Packers in their Week 1 opening game with 36-16 points. Feet dodging the opponents rush defenders, quarterback Russell Wilson, a devout Christian, made several spectacular plays, including two pass touchdowns with 19 completions out of 28 attempts. Running back Marshawn Lynch's pure athleticism was unstoppable as he rushed passed his opponents, putting down two rush touchdowns and 110 rush yards, penetrating the Packers defense with ease.

Entering Week 1 with a bang, the Seahawks is ranked 1st in NFC West. Their offense is 2nd in overall points and in rush yards per game (207 yards).

Seattle's injury list include TE Cooper Helfet, who was limited during with a knee injury and will probably not play on Sunday, and the other players out from Chargers game are RB Christine Michael, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, and CB Tharold Simon.

The incoming challenger Chargers lost 17-18 to the Caron Palmer-led Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. Even though QB Philip Rivers made 21 completions out of 26 attempts and 236 passing yards, he only made one pass touchdown. RB Ryan Matthews added to the two touchdowns that San Diego made.

San Diego looked like a strong playoff contender and analysts were optimistic as its defense roster welcomed back linebackers Dwight Freeney and Melvin Ingram from injury. It had also replaced CB Derek Cox with Brandon Flowers. But their loss to Cardinals showed that not only do they need to focus on raising the defense level to average, but also work on improving its offense, especially in running plays.

If the Chargers are not able to make significant improvements, they should not expect to win over the Seahawks this Sunday. According to injury list, Jahleel Addae and Chris Davis are out and five other players are listed as probable and two more as questionable, reducing Chargers' chances of making the playoffs this year.
