Lockdown Lifted: Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Resume Operation after Police Clears Gunfire Report

Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and the Martinez Health Center have resumed normal operation after a precautionary lockdown from a gunfire report on Tuesday morning, according to an update posted on the hospital's Facebook page. 

"Police investigated and have determined there is no threat to the public at this time," said the San Francisco Bay Area hospital. "There were no injuries or gunfire reported on the campus of the hospital or the health center."

Seeing no further threats, the hospital is encouraging all patients to keep their appointments as the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and the Martinez Health Center are now operating as normal. 

The report of lockdown was announced on the hospital's website on Tuesday morning, and authorities were urging people to stay away from the area until further notice after police investigation.
