There are six debates coming up prior to the 2016 Democratic National Convention slated for July 25 to 28, Inquisitr reports. Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz says that these should serve as a means for the voting public to properly screen the running mates and choose the best man (or woman) to vote for.

The 2016 Democratic National Convention will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Some other events will happen at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. In the meantime, while the voting public awaits this monumental event, they can join in the first six DNC debates which shall take place as follows:

The first one has already taken place on October 13, 2015, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was moderated by Anderson Cooper while CNN's Don Lemon presented questions from social media. The event was broadcasted on CNN and went live online on CNNgo and on Westwood One radio.

The next one will take place at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa on November 14, 2015. Viewers can tune in on CBS, KCCI and The Des Moines Register. The moderators are Cynthia Fodor of KCCI News, and Alyx Sacks. The time has yet to be announced.

The third is scheduled on December 19, 2015, in Manchester, New Hampshire and will be broadcasted over ABC News and WMUR-TV.

On January 17, 2016, the debate at the Congressional Black Caucus Institute in Charleston, South Carolina will be broadcasted by NBC News.

On February 11, 2016, viewers can participate in the debate held in Wisconsin and will be broadcasted on Univision and The Washington Post.

Finally, viewers can join March 9, 2016 event hosted by PBS in Miami, Florida. The start time, venue and moderators of these last four events have yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, CBS reports that while there are only five declared candidates running under the Democratic nomination, this will not pose any issue. However, debate sponsors will create qualification metrics for the candidates to fulfill before getting up on the podium.

So far, it is reported that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is first among the Democrats running at this period of the campaign trail. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is coming up as a close second in the race.
