The Battle of Jakku DLC is ready to play if you pre-ordered, but arrives on Dec. 8 for everyone else. EA/Dice

Star Wars Battlefront was released two weeks ago by EA and DICE, and many have been enjoying the massive multiplayer options in some of their favorite battles of the original trilogy like Hoth, Endor, and Tatooine.  With the release of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens happening in the next three weeks, there is a lot of hype concerning the DLC (Downloadable Content) of the Battle of Jakku.  This is what is known about the early deal of Star Wars Battlefront Battle of Jakku DLC Release Date, Review, and Problems with Downloading.

If you don't know what the Battle of Jakku is, don't feel too out of the loop, even if you are a big Star Wars fan.  The Battle of Jakku hasn't really been seen yet, and it probably won't be.  The public actually knows more about the Battle of Jakku thanks to the showings of its aftermath as seen in the Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens trailer.  There are several shots of giant starships (Imperial Star Destroyers) crashed and abandoned in this world of Jakku, and there are a lot of battles and explorations going on in its ruins.

The landscape depicted of the Battle of Jakku DLC in the Star Wars Battlefront game will look very different as it will show a landscape of a fight that took place 29 years prior to events in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.  In the film's chronology, the Battle of Jakku takes place one year after the events at the end of Return of the Jedi.  According to Gotta Be Mobile, the Battle of Jakku DLC will feature two new maps and one new game mode called Turning Point.  Turning Point features 20 on 20 combat with vehicles and control points, and is a "nice alternative to Supremacy and Walker Assault".

Right now, the game of Star Wars Battlefront has been getting some negative reviews due to its great emphasis on massive multiplayer campaigns.  Those that are single players might not enjoy that the campaigns do not last very long, as reported by Internet critic Chris Stuckmann.  Users who want to get on to the Battle of Jakku DLC and any other campaign on this game with a massive amount of players might have to do this multiple times, as it is quite easy for a player to be killed once they step into the battle arena.

The DLC of Battle of Jakku is available for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 right now for a very good price of free. That is, it is available now if you pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront, and everyone else will have to wait until December 8th

You will need to redeem the code that came with your pre-order to play the early release of the Battle of Jakku DLC.  For example, if you pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront from Amazon, you will need to enter the promo code the retailer sent you via email.  Should you have pre-ordered the game in the store, the code should be on your receipt.  The Battle of Jakku is not a standalone game and is 1 GB of size, which is fairly large, so it make take a while to download, and you should be certain that your system, be it PC or console, can handle that.

Some have reported problems with the download, and one solution is pausing the download and restarting it.  If that doesn't work, you can shut down your computer, or unplug your console.
