Star Wars Battlefront DLC Release Date, Reviews And Single Player Campaign Rumors

Three weeks ago, EA and DICE released Star Wars Battlefront. So far, many Star Wars fans have been enjoying the awesome features of the game, such as the battle of Loth, Endor, and Tatooine. Now that the Battlefront Battle of Jakku DLC is available, we'll give the latest in-game updates, rumors, and comprehensive player reviews.

The "Battle of Jakku" DLC was launched on December 1 for those who pre-ordered the main game, and December 8 for everyone else. The DLC features 20 vs. 20 combat with vehicles and control points.

The landscape depicted in the Battle of Jakku DLC took place 29 years before events in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. Fans are excited to play the game because it features the first major video game glimpse of the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.

In movie's chronology, the Battle of Jakku takes place a year after the Return of the Jedi.

In some game reviews, players said the video game is too focused on massive multiplayer campaigns. For gamers who used to play single campaigns, they might not enjoy the gameplay of Star Wars Battlefront, according to Internet critic Chris Stuckmann.

To address the issue, EA COO Peter Moore said Star Wars is not purely a multiplayer only game. He added the game has a lot of single player options.

"Let's be clear, though, there are a lot of single player opportunities within the game. It's lacking a campaign mode in the eyes of gamers, but it's got co-p, couch play... it's not a purely multiplayer game," Moore said in a published statement from Examiner. He also hinted that there could be a single player campaign in next edition of the series.

The DLC of Battle of Jakku is available for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 right now.

Recently, we reported that EA DICE released new patches for the game. The patches addressed crashes and stability issues. Game's developers also added new guns such as Barrage and DL-44.

However, the latest patch received complaints from some players who downloaded it. They said the guns are weaker and it now takes longer for the explosives to detonate, giving the opposition more time to get clear.

Nevertheless, game review from IGN says Star Wars Battlefront captures everything the players love most about Star Wars. The game is playful and imaginative. It is also driven by a sense of adventure and fun above all else. By embracing this, and improving on the classic original Battlefront, developer DICE has made an awesome Star Wars game.
