Street Fighter 5 gets 1.02 patch DLC update.

There have been very few games that have become a sensation like the Street Fighter series.  It certainly was a long-awaited one when it was released last February, and the only thing that can make the franchise bigger is some awaited downloadable content (DLC).  This is what is known about the Street Fighter 5 March DLC and news of what is to come for the hit fighting franchise.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the update patch 1.02 for Street Fighter 5 will be released today on March 28.  This update will include Challenge Mode, will allow the player to try out combos and other hard moves for all 16 fighters in the game.  It allows the player to get up to speed with more advanced techniques.

In addition to that feature, there is a possibility for Online Revenge.  This is where the player can get revenge from a loss from an online opponent, provided both of the fighters agree to it.  There will also be eight-person lobbies and a rematch option for multiplayer mode to be added.

There is more action coming this week as Street Fighter 5 will bring its first post-release character to the game known as Alex.  He will become available on March 30, at 10 AM PT.  Not only is he going to be playable, but Alex will have his own story mode as well.

There are also some bug fixes, as well as an In-Game Shop available so players can purchase extra costumes, characters, and more.  Ubergizmo reports that the in-game shop won't allow players to spend real money in the shop right away.

As of now, players are only able to purchase content with Fight Money earned while playing Street Fighter 5.  Additional characters cost 100,000 Fight Money while story mode costumes are priced at 40,000 each.

Capcom, makers of the Street Fighter 5 game, have said previously that the game will have another currency known as Zenny where players can purchase with real money.  Right now, this "needs more work" and isn't ready for the March update, and Capcom is not able to provide when Zenny will be brought to the game.

There is also another report from Event Hubs that those who purchase Street Fighter 5 won't only get each new DLC character this year and access to each of the premium costumes before Zenny comes to the game.  It is reported that Season pass owners will also be receiving a brand new stage, sometime shortly, for free.
