Sunday Night Football Week 14 features the match between Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints, which begins at 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET) on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. The (9-3) Panthers will be visiting the (9-3) Saints at Mercedez-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Going into Week 14, the New Orleans Saints, ranked 1st in NFC South, will get another opportunity to reveal their passing prowess as NFL No. 3 pass offense team this season. In addition, New Orleans is placed 7th in points scored per game and 6th in yards. As they play against the Carolina Panthers, quarterback Drew Brees, who has 29 touchdowns at 3,794 yards, is expected to make plays together with wide receiver Jimmy Graham, who has 12 touchdowns and 988 yards.

The Panthers is ranked 2nd in NFC South. Their No. 2 ranked overall defense will be sure to give the Saints a hard time in any rush attempts to push the ball down the field. Carolina have allowed the lowest points (13.1), 2nd lowest yards (289.8), and 6th lowest pass yards (209.6), and No. 2 rush defense (80.2).

Panthers' second year quarterback Cam Newton has led the team with 19 pass touchdowns at 2,616 yards and six rush touchdowns at 447 rush yards. The teams' top receivers, including Greg Olson, Brandon LaFell, Steve Smith, and Ted Ginn, have contributed a total of 17 touchdowns.

According to their offensive and defensive comparison, the Saints leads the Panthers in passing and total yards per game by a wide margin, but the Panthers would dominate in the rush offense. The game tonight is one of the two games that will determine who will clinch the NFC South No. 1 and compete in the playoffs.
