Super Smash Brothers' new DLCs to feature all new character.

Supper Smash Bros is getting one more DLC character for the Wii U and 3DS platforms. The new character Roy hails from the Fire Emblem videogame. Nintendo made this announcement about a week after releasing Mother 3 protagonist Lucas.

Roy Confirmed in New Trailer

The red-haired, sword-wielding fighter was featured in the latest Smash Bros trailer. Roy is able to deliver finishing blows through dash attack. His recovery move can be used to both damage opponents, and stop attacks at the same time.

After charging up for a Flare Blade attack, Roy can knocked enemies out of the arena. Players may be pleased to find that charging up requires less lag time.

Nintendo has not confirmed when Roy will be released. Previously, Super Smash players had to wait two months before the Lucas DLC premiered in June. Fortunately, the character was released just in time for E3 2015 - which concludes on Thursday, June 18.

Ryu Glitch Allows for Ridiculously Easy Kills

iDigitalTimes recently reported on glitch that allows Ryu to defeat opponents easily. The publication posted a video from Dezmu as evidence.

Apparently, players can now use Ryu's Focus Attack repeatedly without their enemies being able to fight back. Afterwards, the character blast opponents out of the board with the Shoryuken or smash attack move. Luckily, the problem only seems to affect Donkey Kong and Charizard. Also, Ryu will need to face the opposite direction while using this attack.

Nintendo may issue a patch for this at a later date. For now, players can annoy their friends by exploiting this hilarious glitch.

Smash Bros Characters Voting Event

Nintendo is planning to add more characters, and is already asking fans for input.

Players can vote for their favorite characters via the official Smash Bros website. However, it important to remember that Nintendo may not necessarily follow voting results when adding new characters. Outside factors such as technical challenges and the character's market-value will also affect the final decision.

The online ballot will remain open until October 3, 2015. So, interested parties will need to act quickly. Bear in mind that players are only allowed to cast one vote.

Who Is Lucas?

Relatively obscure in the West, Lucas is the main character of Mother 3. The videogame has only been released to the Japanese market. Even so, diehard aficionados have managed to translate Mother 3 into English.

Lucas is the second character to be joining the Smash Bros lineup. The first DLC character package featured Mewtwo, a fan-favorite from the Pokémon universe.
