Support Traditional Marriage of 1 Man & 1 Woman Association located on the east coast of United States is celebrating its first anniversary. Association president Yuan Wu Cheng said that they are preparing for the commemoration, which will be held on December of this year.

Support Traditional Marriage of 1 Man & 1 Woman Association was established on March 2004 when an unanimous votes decided during the Greater New York Area Chinese Christian Church Association’s conference to push for the movement. Since its establishment, Support Traditional Marriage of 1 Man & 1 Woman Association has been a mainstay in raising the awareness of the general public through lectures from the Bible, addressing the viewpoint of traditional marriage, and giving analysis on the dangers of homosexual marriages. September 2004, the association organized a rally in New York in the name to protect traditional marriage, and in October united the Chinese Christians in the northeast region to join other believers in the historical rally at Washington D.C.

Rev. Yuan revealed that the association is currently publishing an anniversary publication, which includes the association's vision, developments throughout the year, flashbacks on past events, and resources that were collected regarding traditional and homosexual marriages. To fund for developments, the association will be organizing a fundraising dinner and invites Chairman of Protect Traditional Marriage Foundation Thomas Wang as guest speaker.

Currently, Support Traditional Marriage of 1 Man & 1 Woman Association is praying for President Bush nominee Judge John Roberts and for its continual movement to raise awareness in the Chinese community. Rev. Yuan commented that if the conservative Roberts is able to enter the Supreme Court and tip the balance of the political parties, then "America can be saved in the area of marriage." Through education and awareness, they hope that the general public would not be fooled by the propaganda of liberals but rather understand the dangers of homosexual marriages and acts pose to the society. To further assess this goal, the association will hold related outings next year and invite experts on topics of ethics and society to lead seminars.
