To keep up with the latest technology, many developers are releasing remastered games. Now, it is confirmed that remakes of System Shock and Silver Case are under development and will be launched as soon as possible.

Here's what is currently known about System Shock remake and Silver Case remaster release date, gameplay, and rumors.

Let's start with the news about the System Shock remake. Initially announced as a Windows PC and Xbox One exclusive, developer Nightdive Studios now confirmed that the game would also land on PlayStation 4 consoles.

In an update posted on Kickstarter, project director Jason Fader said they are now "officially on track for bringing System Shock to the PS4!" He also added the decision was made after the overwhelming demand for the PS4 version of System Shock.

As of this writing, the crowdfunding campaign for the game reached $1,091,356 pledges from 17,501 backers. With a week still to go, Nightdive hopes backers will continue to support the project. The developer revealed its plans to add more locations, an orchestral score, and more death cinematics.

Feder also asked backers to share the news about the PS4 support to make the System Shock remake more awesome. "The more we're able to raise, the better the game will be. Please tell your friends about us, share this news about the PS4 support," the director said.

Furthermore, more pledges will ensure that the game will function smoothly and relatively bug-free in all gaming platforms.

System Shock remake is expected to become available "around Q1 2018," Feder told in PlayStation Blog. For those who want see the game early, Steam, GOG, and Humble are now offering a free demo for PC users. The demo takes about 500 MB of space and offers about 10 minutes of gameplay.

The original System Shock was released in 1994. It was created by Looking Glass Studios.

On the other hand, another '90s video game is also set to make a comeback. Grasshopper Manufacture recently released the first trailer for the HD remaster of their 1999 debut title, The Silver Case.

The trailer features improved character designs and music. It also showcases the title's unique presentation system known as "Film Window," where the story moves through dialogues and texts, as per report from Polygon.

The Silver Case uses puzzles and invites players to experience the story in the first-person point of view. The player's primary mission is to investigate a series of killings committed by a serial killer.

The remastered Silver Case will become available this fall.
