Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based conglomerate, has retained the services of WDC Media, a fully integrated public relations and media relations firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
Paul Crouch Jr., Vice President of Administration, recently announced the decision, explaing that the reason for it was to market the branding of English-based programming on Trinity Broadcasting Network, JCTV (TBN's youth network) and the Church Channel.
Vice President of Cable and Satellite Relations Bob Higley added, "One of the many projects WDC will be responsible for is maintaining high visibility in the secular media for TBN programming and theatrical releases, as well as working with cable affiliates on cross promotional media opportunities."
As part of TBN's fall line-up, the network will be rolling out "Gifted," a soulful talent showcase featuring aspiring Gospel and Contemporary Christian artists-hopefuls between the ages of 18 to 24 . Auditions for the talent search will kick-off in August 2004 and will be held in 12 major cities across the nation. Twenty-four finalists will be flown to Los Angeles, CA, in September. The first show is to air live on TBN in October.
"Gifted" is the first show in production by Wright Generation, a joint venture between the Orlando-based Wright Entertainment Group, which has managed the careers of such chart-toppers as Britney Spears and 'N Sync, and Gener8Xion Entertainment.
Founded by Matt Crouch, the LA-based independent feature film and production company that bursted on the scene with 1999's #1 independently produced and distributed hit film, "The Omega Code." Crouch is currently in production on "A Night with the King," an epic retelling of the Old Testament Book of Esther.
Dr. Joseph Chavez, senior pastor of Phoenix Inner City Church in Arizona said, "What a powerful and positive message this is sending the community at large! To have Trinity Broadcasting Network and Wright Generation (Crouch & Wright) lead the way in crossing over dynamic programming that is in-line with spiritual and moral values, while creating a visible presence in a secular marketplace that has been closed for so many years, is outstanding!"
