‘Teen Wolf’ is set to say goodbye to its fans after the sixth season, and its lead actor Tyler Posey opened up about being fine with it. In an interview with TVLine at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, the Santa Monica native shared how he responded after learning about the news.

"It is the last season of 'Teen Wolf,' but it's not sad," said Posey, who plays Scott McCall on the MTV series. "For me, the second I heard the news. I wasn't overcome with joy, but I had peace, so much peace was in me, and happiness, looking back on everything that we've done as a cast, as a show, as an entity, at Comic-Con and just in people's lives in general."

The 24-year-old actor also opened up about doing such series with plenty of episodes and maintaining a strong bond with co-stars.

"There's not a lot of shows that can say they've done that and made 100 episodes and remained friends and are going to go on to bigger and better things,” Posey said. “There's been no negativity. It was a little bit bittersweet. I am going to bawl my eyes out, but they're all happy tears."

The last episode of ‘Teen Wolf' season five had put an end to the Beast's powerful grip on Beacon Hill, thanks to Allison (Crystal Reed). Following the fifth season, fans look forward to the adventures that are yet to come in the sixth and final installment.

There will reportedly be more villainous characters in the series. The Ghost Riders will make an appearance this season; they are expected to be capable of erasing people from memory, and their next target could be Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Peter (Ian Bohen).

According to showrunner Jeff Davis, putting an end to the series after its 100th episode is "a good place to finish."

"The network and I were in total agreement on 100 episodes," he explained. "I'm still shocked that we made to a hundred. I used to think we'd only do 40 or 50. That would be amazing for a cable show."

During the MTV series’ panel at the convention, Davis opened up about the cast and crew’s experience over the past years, expressing his gratitude to everyone who has taken part in the show.

"Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could've ever imagined,” the screenwriter said. “We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure."

Actress Holland Roden, who plays Lydia on ‘Teen Wolf,’ also shared about her exposure to the set and her co-stars.

"I grew up with this gang of boys basically during my entire 20s... and it's been the craziest ride. I probably wouldn't be acting if it wasn't for this show,” Roden added.

‘Teen Wolf season six,’ comprised of 20 episodes, is set to premiere in November on MTV.
