Bandai Namco is now developing the ninth installment in the Tekken franchise, and it will reportedly come in Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles. However, its release date is still unknown. Some gamers claim that Bandai Namco will announce its launching in the next PSX (PlayStation Experience) event.

Now, here's the latest news about "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date, contents and features.

The PSX is a yearly gaming event that invites thousands of gamers around the world. The event is filled with announcements and spoilers from different game developers. Last year, the second PSX was held in San Francisco, California. The event is usually scheduled during the first week of December.

For now, gamers have waited to for 11 months to know if Bandai Namco will reveal Tekken 7's release this year.

Tekken fans have been anticipating the announcement since last year, but sadly, there's still no official release date for the upcoming game. According to Latinos Health, the game is currently available for beta test on arcades in Japan.

Tekken 7 is the first game in the series that uses the Unreal Engine 4, which offers a high degree of portability and is a tool used by many game developers today. This latest game engine will add to the awesomeness of Tekken 7.

Furthermore, there will be a lot of new characters, new fight modes, stages, and outfits in the upcoming Tekken game. Players can use around 28 fighters, at least in the arcade version. The new characters are Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Kazumi Mishima, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino and Akuma.

Many gaming fans applauded the inclusion of Akuma in the arcade version of Tekken 7. This move is a significant step to show how Bandai Namco would create Street Fighter Characters in the 3D style of gameplay in Tekken.

If you are in Japan, you can check out the arcades that are offering Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. This beta test will start next month. The trial is scheduled to kick off from February 12 to Feb. 14.

Here are the arcade test sites of the Tekken 7:

  • Namco Sugamo in Tokyo
  • Round One Stadium Sennichimae arcade in Osaka
  • Namco's Hakata Bus Terminal arcade in Fukuoka.

Tekken 7 is now being developed by the Tekken Team in Bandai Namco Entertainment. Japanese game director Katsuhio Harada- who has been involved in the franchise for 20 years- monitors the progress of the game.
