"The Blacklist" Season 3 has some tricks on its sleeves. Fans will find it interesting to know that instead of finding a way for Megan Boone, who plays Elizabeth "Liz" Keen, to get off the show temporarily as she is currently pregnant, her pregnancy will be integrated into the show instead. How exciting is that? 

Episode 12 of "the Blacklist" will be entitled "The Vehm." Airing on January 28, the teaser trailer revealed that Liz Keen will announce that she is pregnant to her ex-husband, Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold). Youth Health Mag also reported that Liz will even have an ultrasound of the baby to show to Tom. 

Apart from seeing how Tom would take the news, fans should stay tuned for the new episode to see what Liz and Tom will do next. Should they just run away and try to live a normal life with their soon-to-be baby? Or will Liz decide just to stay in the meantime, up until she and Red found a way to put The Cabal where it should be before deciding to live an ordinary life? The latter makes sense too considering Liz will want to make sure all the threats to her life will be eliminated before bringing her baby into the world. 

Not only that, Liz has to admit finally, at least to herself, who she cares for more, Tom or Red? In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jon Bokenkamp revealed that this is indeed something that will plague Liz throughout the season. Asked whether Liz will ever consider going away with Tom, Bokenkamp answered, "One of the things that's interesting is the idea that Liz has such a desire for a normal, quiet life. She's had it since the beginning - a husband, a dog, a regular job and a normal life. This storyline is going to help snap into focus the idea of the possibility of a normal life versus the reality of a life with Reddington."

Bokenkamp also added that because she is soon to be a mother herself, Liz will have all sorts of identity issues since she is the daughter of a renowned spy. The previous episode had Red telling Liz him that she cannot escape her past or the truth that her mom is a spy and Bokenkamp this will bring a lot of inner turmoil in Liz.

"He's warned her in this episode that the world knows that she is the daughter of a renowned spy. That could come back to haunt her. That raises a lot of questions within Liz about who she is, where she came from, who her mother was. She's going to become a mother now herself, and she has never known her mother or her father. Those questions feel organic and really central to what the show is about, these big questions about identity," Bokenkamp explained.
