Right now, there is a huge video game convention going on at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  This is E3, and it happens annually at this time, and it will officially end on June 16.  This is the time when big video game announcements are made, and one of them was an official release date announcement for the release date of The Last Guardian.  This is what is known about a game that is very long-awaited, with its final release date, spoilers, gameplay, and news.

The Last Guardian is a video game that has troubled origins.  The game was designed and directed by Fumito Ueda who designed successful games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.  Team Ico originally announced this new game back at E3 2009, and at the time, it was going to be released for 2011 for the PS3.  That is a delay of five years, and the fans have been wanting this game for all that time.

Yeah, that didn't happen. It goes without saying that this game was delayed upon delayed upon delayed.  Of course, delays are nothing new to the video game industry, and this is often the case when it comes to independent video games.  After all, the long-awaited No Man's Sky and Horizon Zero Dawn are getting delayed.

This game looks like it is very unique.  It appears to take place on another world entirely, kind of like Avatar: The Last Airbender.  The story is about a young boy being chased by some kind of guards, and he soon befriends a creature named Trico that is a cross between a giant dog and a bird.

According to Kotaku, who had a chance to play the game, says that the player must befriend Trico from the ground up.  That is, they have to help Trico by treating his injuries, and the animal reacts like a real animal would.  There will be times where the boy will need to fight off the enemies, or sometimes Trico has to be sent to take out the guards.  There is a possibility that the game could end very sadly, with the boy or Trico could die at the end, but there is no confirmation of that.

It would appear that The Last Guardian is the start of a human and animal player type of game, like a game known as Scalebound is coming exclusively to the Xbox One.  The Last Guaridan will arrive exclusively on the PS4 on October 25.  Hopefully, this game will not be delayed, or the fans will again be outraged by another one.  There is a trailer here that you can see below.
