The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Release Date, News & Update: King Of Hyrule Spotted?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been tipped to arrive on the Nintendo Wii U next March, although the particular date has yet to be confirmed. We have also seen Link’s cooking skills in action late last month in a YouTube video, and here we are with more information about the game. It looks like the Old Man’s role has been more clearly defined, in addition to getting a better grasp of where the title is positioned chronologically in the Legend of Zelda series.

The HyperBoyGames channel on YouTube does carry a fair bit of speculation in one of its latest videos. While the channel is not a seasoned veteran, it does have some very relevant content. First of all, it does a pretty good summary of the five major arguments that Zelda theorists hold dear to their hearts, especially the reality concerning The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild -- according to iDigital Times.

Nobody really knows who the Old Man is as he made an appearance right at the beginning of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. This will surely lead to rampant speculation among fans, which is to be expected. Majority of the Adult Timeline shippers have also noted that the Old Man’s theme does seem to be a slightly more upbeat and faster version of the Hyrule Castle theme. In addition, if one were to roll back the clock and think of The Wind Waker which featured King Daphnes and a similar song.

Of course, all of these speculations could end up being nothing, really, but rather, just a link (pardon the pun) that it has something to do with royalty, and that’s it. Could this mean the Old Man is the King of Hyrule? That is one possible answer, although we will not know for sure until Nintendo reveals everything officially.

There is another viewpoint which might see the Old Man be one of the Seven Sages, in addition to being Hyrule's leader in the Downfall timeline. Princess Zelda as well as the rest who are part of the Seven Maidens in A Link to The Past have been revealed to be descendants of the Sages, so says Techno Buffalo.

That viewpoint can be supported by the inference that the Old Man’s long bird does make him resemble a sage. The Zelda from the SNES title might be a descendant of this Old Man, hence his appearance and royal-themed song.

Not only that, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a Manual which depicts a cloud of darkness, and this certainly has its fair share of similarities with that of the Calamity Ganon that descended upon Hyrule Palace. In the meantime, you might want to enjoy the theory of the Old Man being the King of Hyrule in the YouTube video that you see right below.

Again, we will not really know until The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is released, and March 2017 (as at press time) certainly cannot come fast enough.
