‘The Legend of Zelda’ Wii U Release Date and News; Producer Eiji Aonuma Breaks His Silence About The Game

The Legend of Zelda Wii U
The Legend Of Zelda Wii U is seen as the last hope for Nintendo's ailing Wii U game console. Nintendo has had an interesting decline for the past few years as the Wii U never lived up to the predecessor of the Wii. The biggest disappointments for fans of the console is that no new The Legend of Zelda game came out for the Wii U. It was supposed to be in 2015, but it will now come out with the Nintendo NX, the next generation of system. However, there has to be some more games then just The Legend of Zelda, and here are a list including Mario and Pokemon.  Nintendo/Youtube

When Nintendo first announced the Wii U, fans of previous systems were excited to play new versions of their old favorites, such as Mario and the hit RPG fantasy game The Legend of Zelda.  Sadly, Nintendo was very forthright in saying that there would not be another The Legend of Zelda game would be coming in 2015.  To really make it worse, producer Eiji Aonuma made a quick video last year saying that he would not feel comfortable releasing The Legend of Zelda to gamers for that year.  The anticipation for the next Zelda game is huge, and here is the latest on The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U release date and news.

The good news is that producer Eiji Aonuma has broken the silence that Nintendo has been keeping about the next The Legend of Zelda Wii U game.  According to CNET, Aonuma stated in Famitsu that he is very busy with the next Legend of Zelda Wii U game feeling like he felt when he was wrapping up Skyward Sword

Apparently, when Aonuma was writing dialogue for the Skyward Sword, as well as in-game text, this was when the 2011 Wii game was in the last stages.  It is a pretty good sign for the release date of The Legend of Zelda Wii U game since Aonuma is doing this now.  He added that "the game has really taken shape, and things have gotten easier.  That means things are progressing well."

Aonuma states that he is doing something new with surprising players for the new version of the game.  He then mentioned the Ocarina of Time, the first 3D entry in the RPG series.  The game is considered to be the best game in the series, or at least one that was a literal "game-changer".

Aonuma has called Ocarina of Time "the base of our secret sauce", and said that "this time, the change in flavor will be like going from Japanese food to Western-style food.  Perhaps players will be surprised."

So far, there is a lot of rumors about the release date of The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U.  Much of them say that the next Zelda canon game will not be happening on the Wii U, and that there won't be another Zelda game until the Nintendo NX, the next generation of the Nintendo gaming.

At this point, it might not be a smart idea for Nintendo to make a Zelda game for the Wii U, but it doesn't seem right for them to skip a generation of console.  Considering that Skyward Sword was released at the time when the Nintendo Wii was about to be upgraded, perhaps Nintendo should just release a Wii U and an NX version of The Legend of Zelda.  The company did the same move with Twilight Princess in 2006 for both the Wii and the GameCube.
