There are a lot of films coming out in 2016, and here is a list of the most anticipated ones.  Set your calendar in case you want to see some of the most anticipated films of 2016. 

Kung Fu Panda 3 (January 29, 2016):  Po finally finds his father, and must then train a family of Pandas against a new enemy. 

Zoolander 2 (February 12, 2016):  Derek and Hansel are forced to reunite as they realize that they are no longer relevant in the world of fashion. 

Deadpool (February 12, 2016):  Fan-favorite Marvel character Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) gets his solo movie in an R-rated Marvel film that takes place in the X-men Universe. 

Zootopia (March 4, 2016):  Animated film by Disney showing an anthropomorphic world. 

Allegiant (March 18, 2016):  Second in the Divergent Series, this follows what happens when Tris and Four leave the wall that encloses the city of Chicago. 

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25, 2016):  DC is about really kick its Cinematic Universe established in Man of Steel up a notch as a new version of Batman will be introduced, along with Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, and much more with this superhero team-up fight. 

The Jungle Book (April 15, 2016):  Live-action version of the adventures of Mowgli, a man-cub raised in the jungle. 

Ratchet and Clank (April 29, 2016):  Based on the successful video game series, two unlikely heroes are about to stop a vile alien from destroying the galaxy. 

Captain America: Civil War (May 6, 2016):  This Marvel film features Captain America forced to fight his Avengers teammate Iron Man in order to save his old friend The Winter Soldier.

Angry Birds (May 20, 2016):  The popular mobile game becomes a computer animated film about birds that must fight against the pigs who are stealing their eggs. 

X-Men Apocalypse (May 27, 2016):  The X-Men of the 1980's are about to meet a very deadly foe who has been worshipped as a god by ancient civilizations and is about to unleash his mutant powers on the present. 

Alice Through the Looking Glass (May 27, 2016):  Sequel to the live-action Alice and Wonderland, Disney brings the character back to Wonderland/Underland for more adventures.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (June 3, 2016):  The fab four turtles are back, and this time, they are facing an enemy who could destroy New York City. 

Warcraft (June 10, 2016):  Based on the hit MMO game World of Warcraft, this will create even more fans or alienate the existing fanbase. 

Now You See Me 2 (June 10, 2016):  The four magicians from the first film are now going on another adventure. 

Ghostbusters (July 15, 2016):  The Ghostbusters are back, but this foursome is female!

Finding Dory (June 17, 2016):  Sequel to the hit fish film Finding Nemo, this one focuses on everyone's favorite character with the short-term memory loss. 

Independence Day: Resurgence (June 24, 2016):  The aliens make a comeback with most of the cast from the original 1996 film from twenty years ago ready to fight them. 

The Legend of Tarzan (July 1, 2016):  Tarzan has left the jungle with his wife, Jane, but gets himself involved in a murderous plot that makes the jungle seem tame by comparison. 

Star Trek Beyond (July 22, 2016):  The new rebooted Star Trek gets another chapter as Captain Kirk and the Enterprise Crew face a threat that does not look familiar. 

Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016):  DC's Cinematic Universe continues as several villains from the DC universe are put together in order to do good.  Batman will be making an appearance. 

Max Steel (August 26, 2016):  A 16-year-old and his alien companion combine to become the titular superhero. 

Gambit (October 7, 2016):  Fan-favorite X-men character gets his own film. 

Doctor Strange (November 4, 2016):  Benedict Cumberbatch assumes the role of the Marvel comics Sorcerer Supreme. 

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (November 18, 2016):  J.K. Rowling writes a screen play that takes place in America during the 1920s of her Harry Potter universe. 

Moana (November 23, 2016): Another computer-animated film from Disney, this one taking place in ancient Hawaii. 

Rouge One: A Star Wars Story (December 16, 2016):  As part of the Star Wars expanded universe, this takes place during the formation of the Galactic Empire with a rogue band of rebels stealing the Death Star plans. 

Assassin's Creed (December 21, 2016):  Based on the video game of the same name, Michael Fassbender will be playing the role of a man caught in between two worlds.
