The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola is pregnant with her first baby with husband Joe King.

Accola herself confirmed the news posting a picture of her surrounded by Joe King and her two her two stepdaughters, Ava and Elise, all pointing to her stomach with the word "Baby" painted on her white shirt.

She captioned the picture, "Sometimes a Saturday is best spent painting t-shirts and taking an awesome family photo," she captioned the pic. "Happy Monday everybody! #ThatAintNoBurritoinMyBelly Thank you to our friend @softspiritstrong for coming over and snapping this sweet pic."

In the picture, Joe King, who plays for the band The Fray, could be seen wearing a matching t-shirt with the word a "SUPERDAD" written on it. The baby will be the first for King and Accola, but will be the third for King who has two daughters from his previous relationship.

According to E! Online, The Vampire Diaries star married King in the fall of 2014 following their engagement in May 2013. It is Accola's first marriage but second for King.

Accola's co-stars in The Vampire Diaries, including Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley attended her wedding, but Iam Somerhalder was not able to attend. However, Somerhalder posted this congratulation note on his Instagram accoung, "Candace and Joe- my brother, my sister. What a magical day this is for both of you. From the eye of the storm I am still with you in spirit!"

Meanwhile, industry observers have offered several theories how Accola's pregnancy will playout in the popular CW drama series. Below are some theories presented by IBTimes.

1.      Vampire Baby - Traditionally, vampires do not make babies. I think that was clearly explained in the Twilight series. Lady vampires are incapable of producing babies and they do not want to make vampires out of babies because they will not grow old and they can't stand the tantrums. However, writers always find loopholes. Even Bella Swan was able to give birth to a daughter. But will Stefan (Paul Wesley) be the father of Caroline's baby?

2.      Hide The Bump - If the producers of the show decide Caroline will not have a baby in The Vampire Diaries, then they can hide her bump in the next season. They can always put her in loose clothing or allow her to carry large handbags to cover the growing life in her belly.

The can even shoot Caroline's scenes on close-ups only or make her sit at tables, behind bars or anything that will not show her bump. They could even use doubles for her stunt scenes.

3.      Body Swap - This is a more logical option. They can always swap bodies. This is always done on its spinoff, The Originals, so they can still use this same tactic in season 7 of The Vampire Diaries.

The release of The Vampire Diaries Season 7 is Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
