Fans waiting for the release Tom Clancy's The Division, will have to wait until early next year to get their hands on the popular video game series. Reports by Cross Map said a beta version of The Division will be released on Xbox One platform in January 2016 to be followed by a PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC version.

But The Division will be officially launched on March 8, 2016, the report added.

The Reddit page of Tom Clancy's is filled with pre-orders from countless fans who want to get their hands on the beta version of Tom Clancy's The Division before it is formally released to the public.

Reports said there are at least four groups working on the development of Tom Clancy's The Division, including Massive Entertainment from Sweden, Red Storm from the U.S., Ubisoft Reflections from U.K, and more recently Ubisoft Annency Studio from France. Ubisoft Annency are the people behind the development of another hugely successful video game franchise Assassin's Creed.

Ubisoft will not provide any detail about the official role of Ubisoft Annency in the development of the game but there are speculations the team will be in charge of 'Tom Clancy's The Division's multiplayer aspect. 

So expect Tom Clancy's The Division to have multiplayer mode when it is finally released.

According to the Rebecka Coutaz (Ubisoft Annency, Studio Manager), "The team in Annecy is delighted to be collaborating with Massive, Red Storm and Reflections on Tom Clancy's The Division. We are bringing our previous experience in multiplayer online games and this project is allowing us to build our technical knowledge in other areas and become experts on this incredible brand. The collaboration with the other studios is going very smoothly, and we're working together to ensure we meet and exceed the high expectations players have for this new title."

However, Ubisoft clarified that Massive Entertainment is still at the heart of the development of Tom Clancy's The Division - building the bulk of the game in Malmo, Sweden using its stunning proprietary Snowdrop engine. The game publisher said the composition of international teams, with their own unique specialties, collaborating for Tom Clancy's The Division makes the game more interesting.
