The Voice of Martyrs will send Bibles to believers living in countries where Christianity is being repressed.

Last week, the international persecution-awareness group announced the Bible Unbound campaign urging Christians worldwide to join a program that will aid in the distribution of bibles to various locations such as China, Egypt, Columbia and the Middle East.

So far, VOM has started two operations respectively in China and Egypt. For its southern China operation, ministry hopes to send bibles to believers worshipping in both government-sanctioned TSPM and unregistered churches.

The Chinese Church Research Center in Hong Kong estimates that there is around 9.8-13.5 million Protestant Chinese Christians in registered churches. The number of Chinese believers in unregistered churches remains unknown.

In the coming months, VOM hopes to enlist the help of 45,295 sponsors for operations in both nations.

The organization hopes to quietly gather names and mailing addresses from local contacts working abroad. Volunteers of the program will help purchase New Testament tracks and send them to special re-mail centers that will handle the delicate task of distribution.

Many of the believers whom have requested the tracks live in places of inaccessible transportation or persecution. According to VOM, this marks a significant step in the ministry’s attempt to aid those who are reaching out to the gospel.

This recent effort comes in cooperation with UPS and the international re-mail system. Bibles will be mailed to restricted nations with non-U.S. postage through anonymous individuals, avoiding complications with local distribution laws.
