The war in Iraq left many Christians within the state in a dangerous position. According to the Words of Hope Ministries, worship services are being held, but attendance is weak. One man was caught up in an explosion from a cruse missile in Baghdad and was seriously injured, but his injuries were not life-threatening. The government has assigned extra security forces to all Christian churches in most cities.
