Madison Bumgarner
Madison Bumgarner--the Giants' best pitcher, has the opportunity to close out the NLDS in Game 3 on Monday.

The San Francisco Giants will host the Washington Nationals Monday, October 6 at 2:07 p.m. PT at AT&T Park. The Giants heads back home with a 2-0 lead in the NLDS, meaning the Nats need to win back-to-back matchups in order to send them back to D.C. for Game 5.

"We don't have a choice now," Nationals manager Matt Williams said. "It is a must-win [game] for us. Then we must win Game 4 and hopefully get it back to [Washington]. That is all we can do at this point."

Madison Bumgarner and Doug Fister will face off in today's game. Fister is pitching to keep the Nationals alive, hopefully he will come up with a better performance than Jordan Zimmermann and Stephen Strasburg who played in Game 1 and 2. The Giants' Bumgarner has been as good as his reputation over the years, posting a 2.60 ERA in seven starts despite a 2-3 record. Those numbers include 40 strikeouts against just seven walks.
