The game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts for Week 3 of the NFL preseason is about to go down on Aug. 27. However, since the Eagles will be entering the game without many of its key players, the team might have a hard time matching up against their opponents.

According to Bleeding Green Nation, the Eagles will enter tomorrow's match without seven of its players, which includes quarterback Carson Wentz. The rookie QB and top draft pick was ruled out for the game due to the rib injury he suffered during the Eagles' first preseason game.

With his current status, it is not yet clear if he will be able to rejoin the team for the preseason finale on Sept. 1 or Eagles' first regular season games.

Joining Wentz on the Eagles' injury list are Isaac Seumalo and Jordan Matthews. The former strained his pectoral muscle during last Monday's practice session while the latter has been absent for the entire preseason due to a knee injury. But, Matthews is expected to play at the regular season.

Other athletes who will not be playing tomorrow are Alex McCalister and Mike Martin. Like Seumalo, McCalister injured himself during this week's practice while Martin still hasn't received the clearance to play because of a knee injury.

Joe Walker and Aaron Grymes will also not be able to play in the match against the Colts. Grymes suffered an AC sprain during the team's match against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week while Walker is still nursing an ACL injury.

With seven players out, things for the Eagles are certainly looking grim. Hopefully, the team's active players, which includes Dorial Green-Beckham, Jalen Mills, JaCorey Shepherd and Stephen Tulloch will be enough to lead the team to victory.

As for head coach Doug Pederson of the Philadelphia franchise, he is expecting to see improvements in the team despite the absence of a few key players.

"You definitely want to see - you want to see points, number one," he said according to NJ.com. "You want to see execution. We've got to eliminate the penalties from last week. That kind of hurt us there at the end of the half."

"Even though we got the three, it sort of stymied that drive before that one," he added.

The game between the Eagles and the Colts will take place on Saturday evening and will be streamed through the NFL Game Pass and selected local television channels.
