Apple's WWDC 2016: Apple Watch 2 Release date and iOS Updates

Apple's Siri revealed the schedule for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference. The digital assistant said the gathering of world's best developers will happen on June 13-17 2016. In addition, it is rumored that the conference will be used to reveal Apple Watch 2.

We've gathered all of the latest news on the web so that you'll know what to expect at Apple's WWDC 2016 and the company's upcoming new gadgets.

The conference will take place in Moscone West and in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The latter saw the debut of iPhone 6S, iPad Pro, and Apple TV last September. The much bigger Bill Graham Civic Auditorium will be used again in the opening-day keynote, while the Moscon will hold different developer sessions.

International Business Times reported Apple will talk about its four major platforms -OS X, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS- in the opening-day of the conference.

For those who want to see the happenings live, the tickets cost $1,599.  However, just like in previous years, not all developers can go to the event. The chance to buy a ticket is offered randomly for people who registered for the conference. Check this link for more information about the WWDC 2016 registration.

Take note that registration ends on April 22 and selected developers will be announced on April 25.

Even though the event is usually dedicated to software, tech experts say Apple might launch new MacBooks and Apple Watch 2. Apple Insider suggested there could be updates to the Mac Pro and Mac Mini desktops. Nonetheless, we should expect new versions of iOS 10, tvOS and watchOS in the developers' gathering.

Furthermore, Ars Technica said Apple might announce a "MacOS" rebranding. If this rumor was true, this marks the first change in Mac operating system brand.

The much-anticipated Apple Watch 2 could also appear in the event. Industry experts say the next-generation wearable could come with longer battery life and could have more functions even if it is not connected to an iPhone.

At the last year's WWDC event, Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about Apple Music, iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, WatchOS 2, a Siri update, Apple Pay rollout and several improvements in Apple Maps and News.

The Cupertino-based company have not yet announced their lineup for WWDC 2016. However, the date is already confirmed and that's good start. Stay tuned for more updates.
