Like any products that become in-demand, the newly released expected hit NES Classic Edition by Nintendo is hard to come by these days. With the upcoming Holiday season, this perfect gift for gamers is sold out whether it's online or in retail stores. As a result, the NES Classic Edition costs hundreds or even thousands on eBay. This is far from the suggested retail price of only $60. But if you are patient and willing to wait in line, retail stores are still the best place to buy the newest Nintendo product.

NES Classic Edition is most likely out of stock in most retail stores. However, Nintendo confirmed that they are producing and distributing stock as fast as they can. Likewise, retailers will also be shipping consoles quickly, according to BGR. If you don't want to shell out that much of money, it is best to wait for those stock.

In fact, Walmart has announced that it is offering limited NES Classic stock online until Tuesday 5pm ET. Though the retail store reminded that there is a limit of one NES Classic Edition per customer. You need to be prompt since there are also reports of bots buying units. Or you can stay put and wait until Best Buy and Amazon will follow suit.

BGR has also some techniques for you to get the in-demand console. If you are planning to buy at Walmart, you probably have to pre-create a Walmart account and enter your information. Once you are already logged in, you start refreshing your browser. It will be more convenient if you are using a Chrome browser and the auto-refresh extension is enabled. In that way, you won't have to manually refresh it yourself every couple of seconds. Or you can use a couple of devices.

If you want to purchase from Target or BestBuy, there's a NowInStock website. BGR explained that it's an in-stock for the NES Classic. Specifically, its zip code stock checker allows you to identify nearby stores that have stock. Though buyers are advised to limit the search. Otherwise, like any other website, it will crash their servers. However, if none of these will work for you, there is still the Craigslist. It has lower prices than eBay.

According to I4U News, their sources mentioned that Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon and Gamestop will likely get a last minute shipment of NES Classic Edition. The scenario is the same with the Nintendo Wii. You still have the option with eBay as a last resort.

The excitement around the Mini NES is not an understatement. The high demand for the console is a proof. If you are feeling nostalgic, the new NES Classic Edition is pre-loaded with 30 of Nintendo's best games that include Super Mario Bros. games, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and The Legend of Zelda.
