Damien Walters recently became the first human being to run the loop-the-loop. The stuntman has appeared in commercials and film, and performs as an acrobat as well.

"I've seen people do it on a skateboard before, I've seen people do it on a BMX before, but no one has ever tried it on their feet," Walters said in his PepsiMax sponsored video. The British stuntman would have to achieve a velocity of 8.65 miles at the top of the loop and continue with enough speed for his descent in order to accomplish his goal.

"I must admit, not the easiest thing I've ever done," said Walters while gearing up to try the loop-the-loop; he performs as an acrobat and stuntman, appearing in films including "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," "Hellboy II: The Golden Army," and "Captain America: The First Avenger." Millions of people also watch Walters' videos on YouTube, where he regularly showcases acrobatic stunts.

"To be one of the first people to do things is always one of my ambitions. I want to keep trying to push the boundaries even further and further, and see how far people can go," he says.

After several unsuccessful tries to run the loop-the-loop, Walters garnered enough courage to attempt it without using any mats to catch his fall. He made several approaches before going full-speed, and in the end was able to run the loop-the-loop successfully.
