Microsoft is preparing to launch Window's biggest update in July. The tech giant claims the operating system's Anniversary Update comes with revamped security system, new features, and improved applications. Now, here's the latest update about Windows 10 Anniversary Edition features and system requirements for PC and Mobile.

The Windows 10 Anniversary Edition is set to become available on July 29. This information appeared in slides for Microsoft's Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) 2016. The first slide states July is the release-to-manufacturing (RTM) time for the system, and the second slide reveals the start of the roll out which is July 29.

Following the system problems of Windows 8, Microsoft has been doing their best to convince users to upgrade to Windows 10.  The tech company has presented Windows 7 and Windows 8 users a Windows 10 upgrade notice that says "Upgrade Now" or "Upgrade Later." With the forthcoming release of the Anniversary Edition, Microsoft hopes to attract more users to the operating system.

Owners of Windows 7 and 8.1 can upgrade to Windows 10 for free until July 29.  After that date, users have to shell out $119 for the Home edition of Windows 10 and $199 for the Pro version.

Now, let's check out the system requirements of Window's 10 system. For desktop users, the Anniversary Update needs a processor or SoC clocked at 1GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 20GB of storage and access the Internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.  

Yahoo Tech has reported the size of Windows 10 update for desktop will require 20GB of storage for the 64-bit version. For the 32-bit version, the update weighs 16GB.

For the Windows 10 Mobile edition, it needs 1GB of memory or higher, at least 8GB of storage, and a 9-inch screen or less that have support for WVGA and WQHD resolution. The operating system also requires rear-facing snapper, but front-facing camera is optional. Mobile devices should also have an audio codec, a microphone, an earpiece, loudspeakers, and Wi-Fi support.

Furthermore, Microsoft said the RAM carve-out by SoC makers had changed from 90MB or more to 115MB or more. 

As we mentioned earlier, the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition is the biggest update to the operating system. It is expected to introduce a better-unified storefront, enhancements for digital assistant Cortana, cross-platform gaming with the Xbox One and more.
