Windows 10 Update, Fixes and Bugs: New Insider Preview Build Addresses Serious Problems

Microsoft rolled out the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14328 for selected developers. The new OS build is filled with many features such as Windows Ink, Cortana enhancements, Improved Start Menu and more. With that, many users hope the issues in the April updates 'KB3147461' and 'KB3147458'  will be addressed.

Gabe Aul, the corporate vice president of Microsoft's Engineering Systems Team, told in Forbes that the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14328 is a major build for PC.  However, he reminded that this build might have some bugs. The tech giant is also pushing this build to "Fast" ring developers instead of the "Slow" ring.

These preview builds help Microsoft to test the Anniversary Update of Windows 10 before it becomes available to the public this summer. The tech giant gets the feedback from insiders to make sure that everything is working fine in the operating system.  

Now, let's check out the upcoming features of Windows 10 Anniversary update.

The Windows Ink is labeled as the headline feature of the Preview Build 14328. This feature enables Windows 10 users to draw images on a whiteboard, make sticky notes on Web pages and more.  Also, this nifty feature is present in the Office programs.

Next, the new build boasts an improved Cortana. Microsoft's virtual assistant can now be seen on the lock screen. Plus, users can use the virtual assistant without having to set it up or to sign in. New users can also learn how to use it easily, thanks to the new build.  

Microsoft also improved the Start Manu. With the latest build, the Start Menu now has revamped design that is neat to look at. The Most Used Apps and All Apps list can now be seen together to lessen scrolling and clicking. Also, Settings, File Explorer, and Power are now more visible on the Start Menu.

There are also small improvements in the system like updated UAC dialogs, a four-finger swipe gesture for Precision Touchpads and a better input system.

According to Softpedia, the new Windows 10 PC build also fixed a critical bug. "We have a new candidate that has the PCI bug fixed," Microsoft's VP for Engineering Systems said on Twitter.

The Anniversary update is also known as Redstone by Windows Insiders. Many tech experts say the update could become available in July, the same month when Microsoft offered the free upgrade.
