Winterfest New Year's event to be held for Teens

Event held on December 30, 31, and January 1

The second annual WINTERFEST festival is scheduled to happen December 30-January 1 in Lynchburg, VA., at Liberty University. Hosting over 5,000 attendees last year, WINTERFEST is an event held so that middle and high school students can ring in the New Year with Christian concert performances, seminars, and group excursions. The music ministry is intended specifically for middle and high school students but also attracts many parents who accompany their teenagers and youth leaders who bring herds of church youths to the event.

During the winter festival, plenty of praise and worship will fill the auditorium featuring popular Christian artists such as Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Brad Stine, Dave Edwards, Sanctus Real, Seven Places Paul Wright, Charles Billingsley Band. Among them Zoe Girl Super Chic(K), Relient K, Tait will hype the audience up before the New Year count down. Bill Scott of Z JAM is also expected to head a youth pastor’s and leader’s workshop on the third day of the festival. Groups attending can also look forward to outings which may include ice skating and skiing.
