The second world Chinese senior ministry seminar concluded successfully last Sat. on Sept. 13th, where the seniors received positive messages, encouraging them to ignite their lives for the Lord and to conclude their lives with a perfect period

In the message on the conference’s theme, Dr. Stephen Tam pointed out the society’s misconception towards retirements. He said that in the eyes of God there is no retirement. If God is willing to use them, then they can still do the work for the Lord. Tam’s words of encouragements give strength to the participating seniors.

Furthermore, the dance and worship instructor delivered the message titled “Igniting the Life”, where she described her experience of God’s calling to promote the dance and worship routines. Throughout the week-long conference, Mrs. Wu led the participants in the worship routines; while they listened to hymns or recited the Bible verses, they also danced to exercise their bones, which helped the seniors maintain the clearness of their minds and bodies.

On the last day of the conference, Tam exhorted the seniors that they can be the priests who serve God, because this identity is given by God. He also called the seniors who are willing to dedicate their hearts to the Lord to come to the front of the stage, and he prayed for them. On the closing ceremony, the conference chairman Rev. Cheung led the participants to recite the conference declarations and CCCOWE’s theme song, and announced that the next world senior’s conference seminar will be held four years later in Taiwan.

Lastly, deacon Lo, the chairman of this year’s preparation committee, passed the CCCOWE to mrs. Wu, who is the representative of Taiwan, symbolizing the passing of the baton and the continuation of the duty.

The five-day conference concluded successfully.

While Thailand’s political instability overshadowed the environment, the participants and coworkers displayed great faith in entrusting God with everything, believing that God will personally take care of entire proceedings of the conference itinerary and the safety of the seniors. All of the conference’s preparation committee staffs were very thankful. Not only are they thankful for the conference to proceed smoothly, but they were also awed looking at the participating seniors’ display of faith in participating without considering the pressures from the surrounding.
