Brazil vs. Chile World Cup 2014 match kicks off the knock out round of 16 on Saturday, June 28. The highly anticipated football (soccer) match is schedule to start at 9 a.m. PT - and fans can watch the televised game on ABC or on free live stream below. 

Exactly four years ago on the same date, the teams met at the same stage in South Africa, where Brazil eliminated Chile with a 3-0 win; however, with Chile's win last week over 2010 World Cup champion Spain, the host Brazil is wary of possible defeat and elimination for the first time on their home soil.

Brazil hasn't lost to Chile in the last three World Cup games, including won 10 of 12 matches since 2000, and the host team has never lost a head-to-head game on home soil.

The teams' players acknowledged that they cannot take the past into consideration. Chile sees this match as an "historic opportunity to eliminate the hosts," said Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, according to AP; And Brazil's players realize the danger of Chile's potential upset win. 

In 2013, Brazil and Chile played twice in friendlies. The former won 2-1 in November in Canada, and the teams drew 2-2 in April at the same Mineirao Stadium where the opening knock out round will take place.

The Chile squad's aim for the World Cup title is not far-fetched, but very probable, judging by the quality and performances of the existing players at the World Cup 2014 Group B round. 

"They have players with a lot of quality. It's always difficult to play a team like that," Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo said, the AP reports. "We don't think about what happened in the past. We have to think about what's in front of us now. Now it's a different story, with new players. Anything is possible."
