The WWE 2K17 roster is out! Let us see who will be part of the “class” in the latest edition of the wrestling/brawler title. There will be plenty of Raw Superstars, SmackDown Superstars, NXT Superstars, Women/Divas and Legends, and expect records to be broken as well.

For instance, the WWE 2K17 roster will comprise of 136 unique playable characters on disc, and if you were to include DLC, the number of unique playable characters would balloon to 156. In total, there will be 25 women taking part in the roster as well, and all of these statistics are new records which we presume would be bigger and better in the next edition, but let us focus on what WWE 2K17 has to offer for now.

With WWE 2K17 set to roll out this October 11th on the Xbox One and Sony PS4, while catering to previous generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3, you can be sure that wrestling fans have plenty to look forward to!

For those who are wondering whether you should pick up WWE 2K17 when it debuts, then the trailer is always worth checking out. There is certainly a lack of gameplay in the trailer, but at least the recently departed Alberto Del Rio is part of it.

WWE 2K17 is the flagship WWE video game franchise for consoles, and it boasts of amazing graphics and extremely authentic gameplay. In Universe Mode, you will have the chance to compete against one another for championships in WWE shows and events. There is even an option to let your imagination run wild with the creation of “What If” and fantasy situations. A trio of save slots with more customization options will certainly make WWE 2K17 more attractive.

There is also a “R” symbol located right next to some of the Superstars’ names. The reason behind this is not because of the rating of the character, but rather, it denotes whether a particular Superstar happens to be in a rivalry. Whenever there is a match which will involve such Superstars, then you will also be able to experience storylines which will unfold when rivals meet.

Right smack on the cover of WWE 2K17 would be the imposing figure who is also the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and multiple time WWE champion, Brock "The Beast Incarnate" Lesnar. Of course, other goodies in the title include a character that has more than one incarnation: none other than The Man They Called Goldberg. Goldberg comes across as a multiple champion, where WCW and WWE can be played simply by pre-ordering the game.

If you feel that you need to get all 156 characters, then be prepared to fork out some money for the DLC characters. Pricing details for these characters have not quite been revealed just yet, but avid gamers and fans of the franchise would surely not mind loosening up their purse strings along the way.

NXT Superstars featured in WWE 2K17 include NXT Champion, The King Of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura, as well as Hideo Itami and NXT Womens Champion Asuka. October 11 is not too far away, so a little bit of waiting will not hurt.
