Microsoft has just released November's list of free games for Xbox Live Gold members through the Games With Gold program, and the three titles have a little something for every gamer in your home.

Volgarr The Viking

First up, we have the retro-style 16-bit action hit Volgarr The Viking for the Xbox One. The 2D side-scroller was created with the help of Kickstarter back in 2012 and released in 2013 to the praise of critics everywhere. It won Indie Game Magazine's Game of the Year and Indie Game Insider's Most Challenging Game of 2013 award.

Volgarr The Viking is billed as a hardcore arcade game that harkens back to the challenging classics of the 80s and 90s with real consequences and simple controls. This free offering will mark the launch of the game on the Xbox One for the first time and will be available for the console from November 1st through the 30th.

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is the second game in the series and will be available for the Xbox 360 from November 1st through the 15th. It's a sandbox title that lets you play as a gardener, growing your garden to attract various species of piñata animals to collect and show off.

This sequel features several new gameplay modes, including a Just For Fun mode that lets you play without worrying about money or unlocks, and a Contest mode where players can enter their piñata animals in various beauty contests. The new edition also adds 28 new animals to the mix, bringing the total to 81 available.

Red Faction: Guerrilla

This 2009 third-person shooter is the third game in the Red Faction series and the first to offer the third-person perspective. You play as a mining engineer named Alex Mason on a mission to overthrow the Earth Defense Force on a terraformed Mars in the year 2125. The game features an open world and destructible structures that play into your battle strategy.

Red Faction: Guerrilla will release as a free game for Xbox 360 Gold members on November 16th through to the 30th.

If you still haven't downloaded October's free games, Chariot and Crimson Dragon on the Xbox One and Darksiders II on the 360, you still have one more day to take advantage of the offer. In addition to new free game every month, the Xbox Live Gold service lets you enjoy exclusive member discounts of up to 75% on games in the Xbox store, more advanced multiplayer features like matchmaking and increased server performance, cloud DVR storage, and the recent addition of Xbox Fitness, allowing you and your family to take advantage of premium workout routines like P90X and Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 routine.
