EA Play be for free in June for Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers?  EA

Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers are constantly looking forward to the latest games to be unveiled by Microsoft for the month, and since it is mid-month, there has been at least a little word.  In fact, June might be a good month for Xbox Live Free Games with Gold as EA Play could be free for you for about 10 days.  This is what is known about the Xbox Live Free Games with Gold for June 2016, as well as the Free EA Play for 10 days.

Before we get to talking about the Games with Gold that will be free for the month of June, subscribers should know about another bonus coming in June, thanks to EA.  According to Gamespot, a message from Twitter from EA reads:  "Want to share EA Access with a friend who couldn't make it to EA Play? All Xbox Live Gold members can check it out free from June 12-22, 2016. All they have to do is download the EA Access app on Xbox to get started."

Now, it is possible that the message is meant for those who are attending EA's pre-E3 event.  For those that aren't in the video games world, E3 is a big video game convention that is held annually at the LA Convention Center, and this year will be from June 14 to June 16.  EA apparently won't have booths at the big E3 event this year, but will host EA Play events in both London and LA, specifically across the street from the Convention Center.

So, that free bonus could be on a conditional basis, but hey, I don't think many are too surprised to hear that.  At this point, the free games for June usually don't post from our friend Major Nelson too early, but they usually can be expected some time near the end of this month.

There is a report from The Bit Bag as what not to expect.  For the Xbox One, it is possible that a AAA game will show up once again, but don't expect anything too new like Battleborne, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, or Fallout 4.  Also, AAA games in the past probably won't come again, as there isn't really a cycle demonstrated for the release date of these games.

As for the Xbox 360, Microsoft has been pretty generous with offering recent free games such as Borderlands, Dead Space, and Saints Row IV.  However, they are often not too generous on this front, so don't expect Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain or Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

In the meantime, Xbox Live Games with Gold members can still enjoy great games this month such as DG2 and Costume Quest 2 for the Xbox One, as well as Peggle for the Xbox 360. In fact, Costume Quest 2 will be available until June 15, and both Xbox 360 titles can play on the Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility.
