April is here which means Xbox Live Gold subscribers will receive a bunch of free games again. For gamers who want to become a Gold member, it only costs $40 and the membership comes with exciting freebies. Now, here's the list of free games this month for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Sony previously announced all Xbox 360 games for Gold promotion works on Xbox One too, thanks to backwards compatibility. In other words, Xbox One owners will get four free games every month.

GameSpot reported free Xbox One games for April includes The Wolf Among Us and Sunset Overdrive. For Xbox 360 users, they have backwards-compatible games Dead Space and Saints Row IV.

Even though it is now April, last month's free game Lords of the Fallen will continue to be free until April 15. As for the other games like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, Borderlands, and Supreme Commander 2, they are no longer playable for free.

Availability: April 16-May 15

Players can transform the game's open-world environment into their tactical playground by grinding and wall-running across the city. Sunset Overdrive offers unique shooter game with powerful weapons and customizable special abilities. The title promises a thrilling adventure exclusively to Xbox One gamers.

Dead Space

Market price: $15

Availability: April 1-15

Gamers take the role of an engineer named Isaac Clarke, who fights the polymorphic undead creatures called the "Necromorphs" on board an intergalactic spaceship named The USG Ishimura.

Saints Row IV

Availability: April 16-30

In this game, players are free to explore their environment while finishing side and main quests at their leisure. The game fuses elements from science fiction video games and films, and continues the series' reputation for over-the-top parody.
