Xbox Live With Gold Free Games for May 2016 on Xbox One and Xbox 360 Announced

For the month of June, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games - two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360

With a week left before the end of April, Microsoft revealed the lineup of Xbox Games with Gold titles for May 2016. As always, Microsoft will offer four free titles for Xbox One and Xbox 360 players who are active members of Xbox Live Gold program.

Here is the list of free games this month for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

GameSpot reported the next month's lineup includes Defense Grid 2 and Costume Quest 2 for Xbox One while Xbox 360 owners can play Grid 2 and Peggle.

Interestingly, Xbox One gamers can have four free games in May, as the two Xbox 360 games are compatible with the console, thanks to backwards compatibility feature.

While waiting for the May 2016's games, be sure to get the remaining April 2016 titles. Check out our previous report to know what those games are. Sunset Overdrive is playable until May 15.

Xbox One:

Defense Grid 2

Market Price: $15

Availability: May 1-31

Description: This tower defense game introduces new worlds and challenges to test player's tower placement strategies. Costume Quest 2

Description: This RPG adventure game introduces a bunch of new features and gameplay improvements. Get ready to explore spooky landscapes and wear adorable new costumes. Players can also get Creepier Treat Cards to use in combats. Costume Quest 2 can be finished in just six hours of playing time.

Xbox 360:

Grid 2

Market Price: $15

Availability: May 1-15

Description: This action-packed racing game challenges players to be fast. Aim to be the best in a stunning new world of competitive motorsport. The race locations are strategically placed in visually attractive areas. Try to be the best in races from Paris to Dubai, Miami to California coast and beyond. Also, Grid 2 introduces the new TrueFeel Handling System to give smooth and realistic racing simulation.

Peggle

Market Price:  $10

Availability:  May 16-31

Description: This casual puzzle video game is full of magical balls, magical pegs and bricks. Players can test their luck by clearing pegs, bashing bricks in this entertaining game. Peggle is developed by Sukhbir Sidhu and Brian Rothstein of PopCap. It was released in 2007.
