Microsoft is gearing up to release something big for Xbox gamers. A European game developer confirmed that the tech company plans to launch Xbox One VR games in 2017. Also, Xbox One Slim is rumored to arrive this year. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Xbox One VR games and Xbox One Slim.

The information about the Xbox One VR game is part of pre-E3 planning. According to an Ars Technica report, one unnamed game developer has already signed up to make a virtual reality game for a new Xbox One console. The publication does not want to say who it is, but it stated that the game developer is a major European studio. Interestingly, that virtual reality game might be another title in an already existed franchise.

Furthermore, the developer also said that the game is planned to be released next year. According to HNGN, a PR representative confirmed that the VR game will have a demo on PlayStation 4 or PC at E3 2016. The representative also added that it will also be made available for the Xbox One.

Also, Microsoft is reportedly working on a new Xbox One console that will handle the requirements of today's best VR headsets. The upcoming console, named as Xbox One Scorpio, is expected to feature a VR-capable GPU. Several tech websites reported that the upgraded console is part of Project Helix. It is the Redmond Company's attempt to get Windows and Xbox closer together so that future titles will go across these platforms at the same time.

On the other hand, Xbox One Slim is expected to be unveiled this year. The Verge stated that a smaller and slimmer Xbox One would be released in August. The console will have 2 TB worth of storage and 40% slimmer body than the present hardware. Moreover, rumours around the internet say it might have 4K support for videos.

Nevertheless, Xbox One Slim will be the smallest Xbox once it is released. Polygon reported that it would also come with a redesigned controller. Additionally, the said console is scheduled to be shown at E3 2016 or an event shortly before.

Microsoft is not announcing any information about the Xbox One Slim's price. Rumors suggest that the pricing for the console has not been finalized.
