Samsung unveiled its "Edge" devices two years ago. The lineup includes Galaxy Note Edge, which sports a contemporary design with the edgy body. Because the device performed great in sales charts, the South Korean tech company decided to release a host of other Edge devices like Galaxy S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Galaxy S7 Edge. Now, latest rumors say the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might also feature a curved-edge side display.

Now, here's the latest round up of update about Xiaomi Mi Note 2 release date, Specs and feature.

According to International Business Times, Samsung is selling its curved-edge display panels to several Chinese phone manufacturers. In fact, Vivo has already launched a dual-curved screen device, which is the Vivo Xplay5 Elite. It features a Samsung-made 'dual edge' curved 5.43-inch Super AMOLED display, partnered with1440x2560 pixel screen resolution.

It is also reported that Huawei will release side-edge display clad devices sometime this year. Some industry followers said it is plausible that the next iteration of Mate will have the trendy display feature.

As for the release date of Xiaomi Mi Note 2, it is interesting to mention that the first version of Xiaomi Mi Note released last year, so several tech websites predict its next iteration should be available very soon. The Beijing-based Xiaomi Inc. is known for its one-year release cycle, as per reports from NDTV.

On other hand, Gizmo China, claims the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will not be released any time soon as the Chinese tech company is reportedly focusing on how to market the recently unveiled Xiaomi Mi5, a flagship device packed with top of the line features.

For the specs of Xiaomi Mi Note 2, it is good to recall the features of its first version. The original Xiaomi Mi Note has 5.7-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Sharp JDI display that sports a pixel density of 386ppi. It is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The gadget also introduces a 2.5D glass at the front and a 3D glass for protection at the back.

The next-generation of Xiaomi Mi Note could feature an at least 5.7-inch screen display. As for its processors, it is highly likely that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 will power up the device. Plus, it could have 4 GB of RAM to aid the processor.

Xiaomi has not yet confirmed or denied any of these Mi Note 2-releated details. It is advisable that readers should take the information above with a grain of salt. Stay tuned with Gospel Herald for more updates.
