Two gangster-themed games are coming to gaming platforms in the next few months. One game is based on Japan, while the other is on New Orleans. Even though both are worlds apart, Mafia 3 and Yakuza 0 will definitely bring action-packed gaming experience to players.

Set in the late 1980s, Yakuza 0 takes players in the decadence of Japanese crime ring. The game is a prequel to Sega's action-brawler gangster franchise. It follows the story of Kazuma Kiryu as he rises through the hierarchy of Dojima crime family. In addition, players would be able to use Goro Majima, which is a longtime NPC.

According to a release from Sega, money rules everything in the world of Yakuza 0. In the game, players have millions of ways to spend cash. In addition, there are many avenues to make, or take money. Get lots of cash from Disco Halls, Pocket Circuit car races, gang fights and many more.

Furthermore, players would learn more about Kiryu, the rising Dragon of Dojima family. He would not be called "Dragon" without being able to knock down a few heads. So expect there will be action-filled fights and intense battles in the upcoming Yakuza game.

Yakuza 0 was initially launched in Japan in March 2015. Now, it is coming to North America and Europe in early 2017 for PlayStation 4. Check out the game's trailer here.

The first Yakuza game was released in 2005. Gamers are now waiting for next entry in the series, Yakuza 6, which is due to release this year.

On the other hand, Mafia 3 is set to feature the world of organized crime in New Orleans. This open-world action-stealth game follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a war veteran and a criminal. When he returns from his mission in Vietnam, his friends and much of the black mob hierarchy are wiped out by Italian gangsters under Sal Marcano. Now, he wants to get revenge on the Italians, and kill them all.

Mafia 3 was announced earlier this year. 2K Games said the game will have bigger world map, new cars, new collectibles and more action-oriented driving.

Mafia 3 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7. Buyers can also get the Collector's Edition which costs $150. The premium package contains dog tags for Clay, Playboy lithographs, soundtrack on vinyl, a 56-page art book and more.
